  • Answer the questions about the video provided by your teacher

PREPARATION:

5. Complete the activity: "Las salas de clases en el mundo"  with a partner

1. Watch the short video

2. Your teacher will give you a random colored folder containing a laminated picture and a lined page with the same picture.  The laminated picture is for you to be able to see the picture in color.  Please handle the materials with care.

3. With your partner, converse (IN SPANISH) about this classroom.  You may choose to talk about:
  • Who is in the picture?
  • What is (is not) in the classroom?
  • What do they have (not have) in the classroom?
  • A general description of the classroom (colorful, bland, new, old)
  • If there are people in the picture, what are they wearing?
  • Do they seem happy, sad or other?
  • What do you think about the classroom in general?
** Some useful patterns are: Hay (no hay), the verb tener, the verb ser (to describe). You don't have to limit yourself to these, use any other patterns that may be useful.

*** I will be walking around eavesdropping into your conversation and giving you a classwork grade for your conversation.  I am grading for how well you stay on topic and the content of your conversation. I may interact with you to help you out!! :-)

4. You and your partner will write a short composition about this classroom based on the conversation that you had.  I would like to see 6 to 8 sentences.

5. You may use your pink notes, and the old-fashioned paper dictionary.  (NO ONLINE DICTIONARY PLEASE!!!)
